Terra Donna Gardens offers a combined 25 years of experience in organic and horticultural-based best stewardship practices. Our team will nurture and tend to soil and plants and treat them as our own.
Nurture Packages are recommended for optimum results for your garden’s health and beauty. Regularly scheduled visits insure that our team is addressing your garden’s every need on a timely basis. Regular weeding reduces costs overall by keeping weed seed to a minimum. Regular trouble shooting reduces the need for costly plant replacement. Packages help simplify scheduling and payment is scheduled weekly or monthly for ease of budgeting. Cost estimates are based on needs required.
Nurture Packages require a full assessment that includes:
Site Assessment: plant identification, current plant health and suggested care, recommendations for plant relocation, pruning suggestions, soil assessment and amendment recommendations.
Program: We will consider your goals for your gardens, offer suggestion for improvement, and what requirements are necessary to meet the goals and vision.
Nurture Package visits are scheduled bi-weekly, monthly,
or seasonally and may include:
Spring clean-up, early-season or late-season pruning of small trees and shrubs (less than 20 feet tall), soil building, compost integration, organic fertilization, plant dividing and transplanting, edging, mulching, weeding (by hand), invasive vine removal (minimal chemical use), watering and general plant care, fall clean-up, and garden bed winterizing.
The Cost per visit depends on scope of work and labor hours required to complete the tasks. Costs do NOT include materials such as mulch, soil and fertilizer.
We recommend twice - monthly visits from April - October for best results.
All Season Care
Regular curated maintenance is the key to establishing and nurturing an abundant garden. Each plant species has different maintenance requirements that can change from one season to the next. From trees and shrubs to perennials, we will be there to provide the nurturing your plants need!
Organic Methods
Now more than ever home owners and gardeners understand the importance of using organic stewardship protocols. The Terra Donna Gardens team understand this and uses minimal herbicides and pesticides, opting first for organic forms of pest and weed control.
Pruning
The health of your trees and shrubs relies on proper pruning. At Terra Donna Gardens, we treat each tree or shrub as an individual. The best pruning practices never involve topping of trees or shrubs but employ selected branch removal to uphold the plant’s shape integrity, even when reducing height.
Pricing is based on the number of trees and shrubs selected and an estimated time required to prune each one.
